Invasion der Monster – mal mondän, mal mutig, mal mehrfach… – und sowieso ist das Bambi immer dabei…

In München. Ich bin Designerin, Entwicklerin, Rechercheurin, Presseagentin, Vertreterin, Webdesignerin, Buchhalterin und Sekretärin in Personalunion. Der Ausübungsort spielt dabei keine Rolle. Ich bin seit 14 Jahren in München und lebte vorher in Wien, ich würde dort das gleiche machen wie hier, mit den selben Konditionen. Über andere Designer weiß ich leider zu wenig Bescheid, um eine allgemeine Lage einschätzen zu können.

1. Please give us a short description of your current collection that you are showing at MODEPALAST.
Our studio is presenting several new designs of earrings, and especially the new collection of cufflinks that will be shown on Modepalast for the first time ever.

3. Where do you live and work? How is the situation there as a designer?
We have our workshop in a small town in the east part of Czech Republic and the fact is that the situation in the field of product design is difficult for everyone. The designers have to be connected to Prague to get some opportunities in their fields. On the other hand the situation is getting better as some companies outside the capital start to understand that the emphasis on design of any product is an important aspect that can help on selling something or to make visible the brand as such.

Ich lebe und arbeite in Wien, wo ich ein Atelier und einen Shop betreibe. Die jetzige Situation in Wien lässt wenige Wünsche offen. Wien bietet für junge DesignerInnen ein stabiles Pflaster.

“OSWALD 1848″
Im Gedenken an meinen Vorfahren Oswald von Bardonitz. Meine Hauptinspiration in dieser Kollektion liegt in der Kleidung und Thematik der Vorgründerzeit, in der Zeit der deutschen Revolution 1848.

Ich lebe in Berlin und arbeite auch dort. Berlin ist äußerst umtriebig, kreativ , günstig, und entwickelt sich immer mehr zur ernst zu nehmenden Modemetropole.

B3 – be free or not to be- a group of three designers from Poland
1. Please give us a short description of your current collection that you are showing at MODEPALAST.
B3’s current collection has got a vintage look – a lot of crinkled effects, washed-out fabrics and smoky colours. There is a strong emphasis on tie-dying, which gives the clothes a unique look. We have prepared a special line called “Recycling”. It consists of outfits made from parts of other clothes, which were cut, deconstructed and put together as something completely different.

3. Where do you live and work? How is the situation there as a designer?
We live and work in Cracow, Poland. This city has got an artistic and historical spirit and an ambience one of its kind. Cracow is a wonderful city, but, as freelancers, we could live and work in any place in the world.
Being a fashion designer in Poland is not an easy job. The memory of times when shelves in shops were empty and buying a pair of jeans or a printed t-shirt was only a dream, is still alive in our society. Therefore, the insatiable need for world-famous clothes’ brands is the main impulse while shopping.
The Poles want to be dressed in a fashionable, not necessarily original way. However, this situation is changing slowly. There are more people, who want to be dressed differently, who seek originality and new ideas in fashion. They choose designers’ labels, which offer unique and interesting outfits. This group of people is still very small compared to the western countries, but it’s growing bigger all the time, making designers’ work more profitable.
