The ‘Eclipse’ collection combines a sumptuousness of black wool and cashmere with silk-chiffon,-satin and leather successively absorbing, filtering and reflecting the light. With an under layer of knitted wool, the silk and leather is used to create a soft wavy surface. I have used two distinctive prints for this collection. A digital print is used to capture the gradation of an eclipse from the direct sun to the shadow of the moon’s appearance and disappearance. The second,
a foil print, is used in an even more subtle way; the appearance of prints depends on the light fall of a moment.
